This week was the start of our Fall Fun Extravaganza week! Wednesday we went to a pumpkin patch, yesterday Bennett painted his pumpkin and today we are going to decorate pumpkin cookies! The pumpkin patch was more of a success than I thought it was going to be: Bennett LOVED it! He started smiling and clapping and making excited noises as soon as we got out of the car. Once we got to the actual pumpkin patch, he just ran around picking up pumpkin after pumpkin and carrying it around until he found another that he wanted to carry. It was so much fun for Kyle and I too! Letting Bennett paint his pumpkin was an adventure for sure. He was interested in painting the pumpkin for about two minutes before he wanted to rub his hands in the paint, rub his paint filled hands on the bricks surrounding our apartment and even EAT the paint. It was a struggle keeping him focused on the pumpkin, but it was fun nonetheless. Bennett had a good time, I got paint all over me, and it wore him out for bath/bed.
